Frequently Asked Questions:
What Goes Here? (Fields you may not know what to enter in)
Location Number - This number is for multi-unit operations that track store sales by location and use a special number designating the location. For a single unit, enter "1."
Codes - This field is used to describe the features and accessibility features of the individual auditorium. A list of the codes is to the right of the auditorium setup. For instance, a stadium seat auditorium with digital sound, wheelchair accessibility and hearing impaired system would be designated "SDHW."
Why can't I change the circuit or theatre name?
The theatre circuit and theatre name are read from the license key and are read-only values. To change the theatre name or circuit name you will have to call Sensible Cinema and have new license codes generated. In the event a location name has changed, proof of the name change must be given in order to re-license the software under the new name.
Who sees the telephone numbers?
The showtime number is used on receipts generated by the program. The direct phone number and fax number are printed on your reports, including the box office reports sent to the studios. Otherwise, the numbers are kept private from your customers.
Why is the address on credit card receipts different than this one even after I have changed it here?
The credit card receipt address is entered in the terminal setup utility under "Merchant Account Settings." for each individual workstation.
What is the difference between auditorium capacity and "sellout" capacity.
You can enter either number you prefer, but in most situations the number of seats sold in a theatre is less than the actual seat count even in a sellout situation. Enter the maximum number of tickets you wish to sell in a sellout environment for each auditorium.
